Male Plug for 18 AWG SPT-1/SPT-2 Cord (Dark Green)

Every light display needs a starting point, and this male plug is where your run begins. It attaches to 18 AWG SPT-1 or SPT-2 two-conductor cord and closes up with a cover for a sturdy, ready-to-plug end. The two metal blades fit standard household outlets, and the dark green housing blends into garland and greenery, so the plug disappears along with the cord.

Early electric cords were often wrapped in cloth and tied off by hand, and a loose connection was a real fire risk. As electric appliances multiplied in homes in the early 1900s, molded plugs with covers became the norm. Today’s version is a small upgrade with a big payoff: fewer exposed wires and a connection you can count on through a Vermont December.
