NECA Ultimate Tiger Claw – TMNT (2012 Animated Series)

Every good villain needs a lieutenant with style, and Shredder found his in Tiger Claw, the jet-pack-wearing, gun-slinging mutant tiger of Nickelodeon’s 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. NECA’s 7-inch (17.8 cm) scale Ultimate figure captures him at full prowl, with crisp paint that matches the show’s bold animated look. It comes with heads, hands, blasters and blast effects, so whatever scene you’re recreating, you probably have the parts for it. Tiger Claw has nine lives, and now he has a few spare heads too.

The 2012 series reworked the heroes in a half shell for a new generation, with fast animation and the kind of character writing that made fans root a little for the bad guys. Tiger Claw was a big part of that: an honorable, slightly theatrical bounty hunter who gave the Foot Clan real class. The collector-friendly box has artwork by Ciro Nieli, the show’s own creative lead, so even the packaging belongs on the shelf. Booyakasha!
