Animated Musical Cable Car Village

A little alpine world where the lift never closes. Two cable cars, one red and one golden yellow, glide along their wires between a snowy mountaintop lodge and a cozy village chalet at the base. Both buildings glow with colorful lights, and a holiday tune plays while the cars travel up and down, just like the last lift of a winter evening. On a mantel, sideboard, or shop window, it tends to stop people and keep them watching.

Aerial passenger lifts go back to 1908, when the Wetterhorn Aufzug in Switzerland started carrying brave tourists up a sheer cliff near Grindelwald. It hauled them up the rock face in an open cabin with a very long view down. Ski country took to the idea, and cable cars became part of every mountain town's winter scene.
