Candy Shoppe Christmas Card Set - Joy Wreath

Some greetings are best delivered by mail, and this one comes with its own little ribbon. A deep evergreen wreath, dotted with silver stars, pink and red ornaments, and curly white garland, hangs from a candy-striped red and white bow against a soft pink background. The bold red "Joy" script takes center stage, saying the whole holiday in a single word.

Wreaths have been greeting people for a very long time. Ancient Greeks and Romans wove evergreen circles to mark victories and the turning of the year, and by the 1800s German Lutheran families were hanging wreaths with candles to count down the weeks of Advent. Those candles eventually gave way to the glowing card on your mantle, which is a much safer way to keep the season bright.

Inside, the verse reads "Deck the halls / Merry Christmas," so it's ready for family, friends, or the neighbor who always brings the best cookies.
