Handmade Greetings Boxed Cards - Santa Claus Letter

For more than a century, children have written letters addressed simply to Santa Claus, and in 1897 the New York Sun ran a famous editorial answering an eight-year-old named Virginia O'Hanlon, whose letter asked whether Santa was real. "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus," it replied. This card takes that spirit of letter-writing and turns it into a keepsake, dressed up as a sealed holiday envelope with its own postmark, stamp, and delivery label.

The front features the address "Santa Claus, 1 Reindeer Lane, The North Pole" in gold foil script on a cream panel, edged in red and framed by a candy-stripe border with red glitter stripes. A dimensional holly sprig with glitter-red berries rests over one corner, and a "Christmas Delivery" postmark, a poinsettia stamp, and a "First Sleigh Delivery" label complete the mailing. The poinsettia is a fitting touch, since the plant was introduced to the United States from Mexico in 1828 and has been a Christmas favorite ever since.

Inside, the verse reads: "May Santa bring you everything you've wished for and more!"
