The Carolers' House
Caroling is one of the oldest Christmas customs still practiced today, tracing back to medieval wassailing traditions where singers would travel door to door spreading cheer (and hoping for a bit of food or drink in return). This cream-colored house design pays homage to that tradition, with a cheerful cluster of red-coated carolers gathered beneath green-shuttered windows dressed in wreaths and garland, clearly mid-song on a snowy evening.
Shaped like its own tiny cottage, this advent card hides a season's worth of daily surprises behind its numbered doors, all wrapped up in an illustration warm enough to make you hum a few bars yourself. It's a sweet little nod to the singers who've kept Christmas Eve streets full of music for centuries.
